Another Russian General has been killed by Ukrainian forces during an intense gun battle.
According to local media reports, this marks the third major loss of Russia’s top military order, in just eight days.
The latest general to be killed in Ukraine was deemed to be the commander of the armored unit and he is the latest major officer to be proclaimed as dead by Ukraine’s officials.
Clearly, things don’t seem to be going Russia’s way as the sudden loss of such top commanders means a huge reshuffling in the armed forces as these men were the ones leading and commanding the soldiers to advance forward.
The high-profile casualty comes after the death of Major General Vitaly and Major General Andrei, who both passed away last week.
Today’s incident comes after Russian forces decided to launch a full-blown offensive attack upon a care home that was originally designed for the disabled and was located near the city of Kharkiv. This is situated just in the northeast part of Ukraine.
The care home was slammed by shelling from Russia’s side as reported by local officials.
A total of 63 people out of the 330 have safely been evacuated while the fate of the other elderly citizens is now known, feared officials.
The city of Dnipro had been struck early this morning and during the strikes, Russian forces managed to destroy an entire shoe factory while killing one civilian too.
However, Ukraine’s forces have continued to strike back. As of now, they have managed to capture up to five towns that were reportedly located near the besieged city of Chernihiv.
