Investigators have managed to locate the black box from the doomed Chinese jet that crashed on Monday.
According to local media outlets, the flight recorder was found on Wednesday for the China Eastern MU5735 airliner that descended 35,000 feet before nosediving and slamming into a mountain.
The flight was reportedly carrying 123 passengers as well as nine crew members.
The exact location of the crash was identified as the outskirts of the Chinese city of Wuzhou, which is located in the Guangxi region.
Meanwhile, the head of aviation safety has mentioned recently how air traffic controllers tried hard to make contact with the pilots of the jet. However, they failed to respond.
The calls were made moments after the airliner had dropped nearly 35,000 feet from the sky, which was considered to be an alarming altitude. But they never got any reply back.
Moreover, aviation experts from around the globe revealed how it was beyond strange for a Boeing airliner such as that to plunge so low, all of a sudden. And that is adding more mystery to the already tragic case.
China has reportedly temporarily suspended all similar aircraft of Boeing from its fleet after the incident.
There were no reports of any survivors from the fiery wreckage as the jet gave out a giant fireball explosion, moments after it struck the mountains, added reports.
With the retrieval of one of the two flight recorders that were aboard the doomed jet, investigators are very hopeful that they will soon be able to solve the mystery of the crash that took place in the mountainous region of Guangxi.
Initially, it was stated that the circumstances in which the plane crash took place meant that investigating crews would find it very hard to determine what exactly resulted in the incident and what the real cause was. But with the findings of the black box, these claims have been put aside.
