The controversial Will Smith and Chris Rock slap drama is continuing but this time around, it’s Jada Pinkett Smith who is doing all the talking.
Mrs. Smith has reportedly thrown her own husband under the bus by saying she does not need any protection. In addition, she condemned her husband’s actions by adding how he simply didn’t need to do what he did.
The news comes just weeks after the startling and controversial incident involving her and her husband Will Smith took center stage with comedian Chris Rock being slapped by the actor for making fun of his wife.
Rock referred to Jada in one of his jokes where he reportedly made fun of her shaved head. But that didn’t seem to go down too well with her husband and actor Will Smith.
The celeb was seen storming onto the stage and slapping the comedian and just in case that wasn’t enough, he yelled out his name and asked him to keep his wife’s name out of his f*****g mouth.
While the backlash that surrounded the incident is plenty, many were waiting for Jada Pinkett Smith to speak on the matter and now, it appears she is doing just that.
The actress’s rep team is now speaking out on her behalf and they claim she is not angry at her husband for slapping Chris Rock. However, she certainly wishes he did not do what he did that evening at the Oscars.
US Weekly announced recently how they spoke to a number of inside sources that are close to Jada Pinkett Smith. And that’s when they revealed how Jada felt her husband overreacted and it was the heat of the moment that really got to him in the end.
“He knows that and she knows that. They are both in agreement with the fact that it was an overreaction”- US Weekly continued.
“She’s not a wallflower and clearly says she is not a woman that needs protecting”- adding how strong she is as an individual.
“She can fight her own battles and is very opinionated and strong and she will stand by him”- the unidentified source continued in the end.
