Russian President Vladimir Putin is resorting to nail bomb horror in the ongoing war in Ukraine and many fear the deadly destruction could increase human casualties.
According to local media reports, the deadly weapon was first used during World War I and since then, has been outdated as human rights groups have warned against its lethal effect. But it appears that Putin does not mind as Russian troops are being ordered to use the terrifying and deadly mini darts.
Sources revealed how the weapon is actually designed to shred human flesh and was first reported by Ukrainian forces today during a hostile attack in Bucha.
Meanwhile, locals revealed how they found hundreds of tiny projectiles that flew in all directions, including their gardens, spreading fear about Russia’s intentions.
The sharp weapons are nearly one-inch-long nails and they serve as tiny fins that are very aerodynamic inbuilt.
This is being deemed the second time in history that they are used, the first being World War I.
“These should never ever be used in areas where there are human populations, especially civilians”- mentioned a report by Amnesty International felt that weapons like these need to be banned as soon as possible.
Reports from the Washington Post spoke about how the tiny flechettes can be seen scattered on the ground on the streets of Bucha. They were also seen buried inside cars and in the walls.
One Bucha resident showed the cameras horrifying footage of the nails that covered the outside and inside of her property.
She says that she’s on a mission to gather the tiny little weapons so they don’t end up being used to harm others.
While the weapons are designed to produce gunshot wounds, many believe it is not going to serve too much purpose for a town like Bucha where Ukrainian forces are not present in masses.
