When you think of the Royals, the last thing that would ever cross your mind is being greeted by a rude welcome.
But that appears to be the case at the recent FA Cup Final where Prince William was reportedly booed by crowds when he made his way inside the stadium and onto the grounds.
While the prince may have thought that he was the chief guest, the response from the crowds proved otherwise as all that was heard were some major boos.
As you can probably imagine, the news did not go down too well with the masses. So many MPs and Brits were shocked at the audacity that fans had during the recent Liverpool match.
Twitter was also on fire with many trying to wrap their heads around what just happened and why it did. Others claim the rather unexpected moment had something to do with the response cited by the Royals over the Hillsborough disaster and how so many demanded justice.
Clearly, the Wembley crowd wasn’t happy with the Prince showing up in attendance but one can only imagine what was going through Prince William’s mind while walking in that sort of tense and embarrassing atmosphere where the majority of Wembley fans didn’t want anything to do with you.
But that’s not the only thing that fans reportedly had a problem with. Sources continued to speak in detail about how the national anthem was also jeered on.
The Duke of Cambridge is said to be the President of the FA or Football Association. Therefore, that’s a further insulting embarrassment, claim critics who have been following the story closely.
As William moved down the pitch and greeted and shook hands with players from both Liverpool and Chelsea, the intense sounds of booing resounded through the stadium and it’s safe to say that you couldn’t ignore it, even if you wish to.
