With the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial in full swing, we’ve heard the film Aquaman 2 being mentioned several times.
The blockbuster movie featuring Heard and co-star Jason Momoa has been criticized for still featuring the actress despite the abuse allegations hurled against her in the courtroom.
But a new report has confirmed how the only reason the celeb is still a part of the movie in the first place is that her co-star Jason Momoa fought hard to save her.
He was adamant that she still deserved a spot, despite her role being drastically reduced to a mere ten minutes.
And if it wasn’t for his intervention and also the director’s say, the actress would have been walking out of the sets in no time.At the start, Amber Heard claims she was given a leading role but because of Johnny Depp and the current ongoing trial, many felt that her exit was best. So the actress conveniently put the blame on Johnny Depp.
But recently, we saw another testimony come into play by one former Hollywood producer.
And according to him, this movie was supposed to be the actress’s ‘a star is born moment’ but due to all the evidence and negative publicity, not to mention the plea to remove Amber Heard being shown, many felt the time had come for her exit.
However, the real reason that’s coming out in the open now is how the actress failed to share any form of chemistry with her co-star. Sources added how it was so hard to fabricate the romance because the actress just didn’t seem to fit the role well and hence so many other options were being looked at as a replacement.
“It’s true that every time her name is taken, so many people flare-up.
She has lost that charm in the public eye and it’s hard to cast someone like that. And when you have no chemistry with your co-star, decisions are bound to be taken, and reducing her role was one of them”- the former producer named Kathryn Arnold concluded.
