Johnny Depp’s fans are demanding the issuance of a public apology by both Disney and Warner Brothers, following the celeb’s defamation trial win.
According to local media reports, fans claim that the actor has been forced to suffer through the fabrication of lies by his former partner Amber Heard for a good six years. And that has destroyed his career in general. But now, after the release of the verdict and it is ruled in his favor, they feel the time has come for a change.
And for things to begin rolling in the right direction, these two giants from the entertainment industry should apologize for the way they treated the celeb even before a trial in the US was conducted.
Johnny Depp suffered great embarrassment when he was reportedly kicked out of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, a moment after Amber Heard wrote an op-ed where she claimed to have been a survivor of domestic abuse. And while the actress didn’t actually take Depp’s name, it’s quite obvious to many whom she was hinting towards.
For those wondering why fans are calling out both Disney and Warner Bros, well, that’s because they’ve both been associated with the celeb greatly with their ventures.
Disney has given Johnny Depp his famous Pirates of the Caribbean project while the Warner Brothers have gone as far as giving him the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
Undoubtedly, they’ve both helped Johnny Depp make a huge name for himself but at the same time, both entertainment labels were also the first to kick the actor out of their films and promotional ventures too.
For six years, Johnny Depp did not have any other label to turn to in Hollywood and many felt it was the end of his career.
Do you think both of these entertainment labels owe the star an apology or not? Let us know and be sure to SHARE the story with others too.
