Johnny Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez has earned a promotion after the jury reached a verdict in the actor’s favor.
During the blockbuster Depp-Heard defamation trial, Vasquez quickly rose to fame thanks to her meticulous grilling of Amber Heard and her witnesses on the stand.
The aspiring attorney’s forensic cross-examination was clearly observed not only by Johnny’s fans but also by her law firm that promoted her from an associate to partner in the days following the verdict.
“Congratulations to newly promoted partner Camille Vasquez,” Brown Rudnick law firm announced.
“Vasquez was a key member of the litigation team that won a jury verdict on June 1, 2022 for actor Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard.”
As the firm’s chairman and CEO William Baldiga added in his statement, Camille’s exceptional performance in the Depp-Heard trial was the reason behind the sudden promotion.
“We are delighted to welcome Camille to the partnership.
Historically, we have reserved this announcement for the end of our fiscal year. But Camille’s performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take this next step now. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to what she will accomplish as our newest partner,” he said.
Following her promotion, Vasquez has spoken out and thanked her colleagues for introducing her to partnership and having confidence in her.
