A 13-year-old girl was barred from entering a bus after the driver called her out for her inappropriate clothing.
According to local media reports, the teenager was horrified to learn that she wouldn’t be able to board the vehicle and get to her destination because the driver felt her clothing was off and there needed to be to some sort of garment that would cover her up.
The teenager mentioned how she had absolutely nothing to put on and hence for that reason, the driver shut the door, left her outside, and drove off in a hurry.
Now, this teenager says that it’s beyond outrageous how she was discriminated against due to her clothing, adding how there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.
“I was wearing the most casual outfit, I was then barred from making a boarding on that bus, in the northern part of Isreal. I feel it’s totally uncalled for and something really needs to be investigated because I did nothing wrong”- the girl revealed in an emotional tone.
But when asked to comment, the driver disagreed with all that the girl had to say. She says that her attire was the epitome of sexual harassment and for that reason, he didn’t wish to take her on board.
Tamara Lahav had been waiting for her bus at the number 9. This bus heads from the Or Akiva to the Binyamina-Givat Ada. And that’s when the incident had taken place.
On that particular day, Haaretz reported that the driver opened up the door and even asked Lahav had something to cover herself up with and even that was taken as an offensive insult by this young woman.
“How can drivers ask passengers such demoralizing questions. They have no right and there was nothing wrong with me”- the teenager explained.
