Amber Heard was caught speaking during her first post-trial interview and the actress claims she is standing by her claims relating to abuse.
The 34-year-old actress boldly mentioned how she ‘spoke truth to power’ and due to that, she had to pay a hefty price.
The exclusive interview was aired by NBC as a part of the Today Show where the celeb refused to back down all of the allegations she held against her former husband Johnny Depp.
“The First Amendment protects speech and it does not protect the lies that are equivalent to defamation”- she revealed while speaking to the host Savannah Guthrie.
This is the first time that Amber Heard had come in front of the world but was appalled to see how she was not the least bit ashamed and continued to fabricate her stories and lies.
The actress continued to mention how free speech doesn’t protect anyone, even if you are seen entering a crowded theater and start to yell out terms like fire, she added.
But then all of a sudden, she started to accuse Johnny Depp of wrongdoing, despite the fact that she lost the defamation trial and was ordered to pay a staggering $8 million.
The full interview is scheduled to be aired on Friday as confirmed by local media outlets as this was just a teaser.
However, despite its short duration, critics and social media enthusiasts were quick to call the celeb out for her wrongdoing.
They believe the time has come for her to realize that lies will not take her far in life and that she was living a delusional world.Others called her mentally sick while some stated that she needed help before it was too late.
Time and time again. Amber says that the truth would always prevail and until then, she plans on sticking to her guns, until the day she dies.
“I paid a price and that’s the price of truth in this world”- the celeb concluded.
