A kid has become a viral sensation amid calls for it to take home the Guinness World Record title for the longest-eared goat.
Simba the Nubian goat is a kid from Karachi, Pakistan, who was born in mid-June to a proud goat breeder named Mohammad Hasan Narejo.
As Mr. Narejo revealed, Simba’s ears measured an astounding 19 inches on the day he was born. Though Nubian goats are known for their long ears, we are not aware of any other cases involving goat ears of such length.
In the following two weeks, the kid’s ears reportedly grew by an additional two inches, bringing them to a length of 21 inches.
According to Narejo, he has since reached out to Guinness World Records and requested for Simba to be included as the world’s longest-ear goat even though such a category has yet to be given life.
“Within 10 to 12 days of his birth he was already appearing in all the national and international media – and won a beauty contest,” the proud breeder said.
“Within 30 days he became so popular that even a famous personality might take 25 to 30 years to achieve this level of fame.”
Narejo went on to reveal that Simba’s ears are now so long that he has no other option than to fold them across the kid’s back to prevent him from walking over them and tripping.
As for his plans for the future, the breeder hopes to use Simba’s fame to promote his country’s image as one of the top goat breeding nations in the world.
