Billionaire Elon Musk has faced another major setback after losing his bid to have his Twitter trial delayed.
According to local media reports, Musk had requested the court for a later date so that he could prepare better for the lawsuit blasted at him and his legal team on Twitter.
Twitter has accused the world’s richest person of failing to pull through with his $44 billion Twitter acquisition deal, adding how he did not respect the clauses mentioned in the terms of the agreement in their contract.
For months, we’ve seen Elon Musk accuse Twitter of lying about the number of fake or spam accounts seen on the platform. And despite the company providing Elon Musk with plenty of evidence on how they reached the figures, Elon Musk says he’s still not happy and wants more data.
But Twitter says they’ve had enough of Musk wasting their time and sending the famous social networking company into a state of loss as shares dropped to a new low after Musk decided to pull the plug on the Twitter transition deal.
Many tech experts and analysts believe the billionaire never wished to purchase the firm on day one and hence was just trying to make the world a fool.
But it now appears that he just might be the last one laughing after the mega lawsuit being thrown his way by Twitter, who have since then chosen to remain silent, adding how they’d be dealing with him in court.
Now, it’s being speculated that the SpaceX and Tesla owner has been left with no choice but to face the court showdown between his legal team and that presented by Twitter.
The exact date wasn’t outlined but it is believed to be in October when Twitter hopes to make Elon Musk stay true to his promise of acquiring the company.
