A mom recently made so many heads turn after it was revealed that she made her teenage daughter sign a lease agreement for living at home, not to mention an added clause to pay rent.

According to local media reports, the mom sparked a furious debate on social media when it was revealed that she had made her own offspring sign the lease with the decision to enforce $100 monthly rent too.

The mother added that this was the only way out, in case her daughter wished to live at home.

The mother of six who hails from Oklahoma went as far as posting the image of the document online where she featured her daughter Jada signing the lease, adding that she would be liable to pay rent as well because her mother was the owner of the residence.

“When your 18-year-old child decides to stay at home, you need to make them pay”- the mother explained in the now-viral post on social media.

In addition to that, many felt the post became even more controversial with the addition of several hashtags that included words like lease agreements, set up for success, stay in a home, and my house, my rules too.

Within minutes, the footage became viral and it managed to get around two million views in no time. In addition to that, it garnered so many comments from other people who couldn’t help but bash the mom for being selfish and greedy toward her own child.

Many also felt she was super insensitive toward the 18-year-old girl who deserved to be treated better at her own house and by her own parent.
