A man took to
Reddit to ask if he is wrong for ruining his biological parents’ relationship with everyone by revealing they are his parents on Facebook.
A man told that his 19-year-old parents gave him up for adoption when he was a baby.
For some reasons, the man was taken from his adoptive parents and put in foster care when he was 11.
He spent years in foster care and was given his biological mother’s contact information by someone when he turned 18.
He messaged his mother on Facebook who’s married to his biological father but she never replied.
But, his father replied when he tried to contact him and said sorry to him for giving him up for adoption.
However, he made it very clear they don’t want him in their lives.
The man wrote: “I then tried to message my father who basically replied saying that he’s sorry but they would rather not have me in their lives. That it took them a while to grieve over giving me up and that they don’t want to go through all that pain again.”
“Well at this point I got pretty pissed because I think it’s kind of shitty they think they can prevent me from knowing the rest of my family.”
He somehow got in touch with his grandmother who became very happy to meet him and she told him he had two younger siblings.
What his father said to him made him really annoyed and angry at his parents that he ended up leaving a comment on one of their posts that ruined their lives.
When his father posted a picture of him with his wife and their two kids with the caption: “My beautiful wife and our two amazing kids”.
The furious man commented: “Don’t you mean three kids?”
His relatives started commenting on the same post asking if he was their kid. The man got scared and deleted his comment.
But, his grandmother confirmed he was her grandson who was given up for adoption when he was a baby by making a post on Facebook.
The man wrote: “So now, I started making connections with some extended family and have been to a few family parties. My parents have been told they aren’t invited unless they accept me which they haven’t.”
The parents’ relationship with everyone has now ruined and he wondered if he’s responsible for that while he feels he is not at fault.
The post left the Internet divided as some said he didn’t do any wrong while some accused him of being selfish for ruining things for his parents.
