Mike Tyson has sparked concerns for his well-being as pictures of him sitting in a wheelchair have gone viral.
The 56-year-old boxing legend was pictured at Miami Airport where he posed with his fans while being escorted through the airport in a wheelchair.
According to the reports, Mike has been suffering from sciatica nerve pain, a condition closely related to the boxer’s lower back inflammation and pain.
While the heavyweight champion was spotted walking with a cane last month, it appears his condition had worsened to the point it is hard for him to walk for prolonged periods of time.
“It’s just an occupational hazard for an athlete like Mike,” an insider told TMZ to put the boxer’s fans at ease.
The airport appearance comes shortly after Tyson scared his supporters by openly talking about death and suggesting that his “expiration date” is coming “very soon.”
“We are all gonna die one day, of course,” the 56-year-old said while talking with a therapist.
“Then, when I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face, I say, ‘Wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon.’”
Tyson’s health scare comes amid his battle with Hulu whom the boxer accused of creating a series about his life without seeking consent first or offering any compensation.
Lashing out at the streaming platform, Mike said Hulu tried to involve UFC president Dana White in production while completely ignoring him.
“Hulu tried to desperately pay my brother Dana White millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master take over story about my life,” Tyson wrote on Instagram as he thanked White for turning down Hulu’s offer.
“He turned it down because he honors friendship and treating people with dignity. I’ll never forget what he did for me just like I’ll never forget what Hulu stole from me.”
