A young private student from Melbourne is turning heads after identifying herself as a furry animal but she’s getting plenty of support across the board.
The student who is currently enrolled in grade eight is stated to be phenomenally bright and now she’s making head waves as a cat at her private school. And the reason being is simple, she is non-verbal at school, which is why people are showing support for her.
As bizarre as it may sound to some, this is definitely not the very first time that we’re hearing of such an incident in Melbourne. So many other students have come out in the open and made similar proclamations, which many think soon might be a trend.
The teenager who is yet to be named by the Herald Sun does not utter a word during her school hours, as confirmed by other sources too.
But she is very bright and has been receiving great progress and feedback in terms of her academic performance.
One parent has spoken to the papers about the teenager, adding how the school has no concerns with how she behaves like a cat. They are happy and willing to go with her decision or personal choice, as long as it does not affect so many others.
“No one seems to be having any form of the protocol in store for kids that identify as animals. But the general approach is one that’s similar to the policy that if it isn’t disrupting the school, everyone will be supportive of it!”- the parent further elaborated in detail to the papers.
The school is yet to respond to the papers regarding the matter. However, they did reveal that their staff was busy handling matters pertaining to psychological problems.
