Sylvester Stallone, 76, has broken his silence as his wife Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce after their 25 years of marriage.

The 54-year-old former model has also accused the Hollywood actor of moving assets from their marital funds.

According to TMZ, Jennifer filed for divorce in Florida after rumors that their marriage was on the verge of collapsing. She also allegedly requested sole domain over their property in Palm Beach.

In the divorce papers, Jennifer claimed that Stallone has been ‘hiding assets.’

“Upon information and belief, the Husband has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate,” the document obtained by TMZ reads.

“Pursuant to Section 61.075, Florida Statues, equity dictates that the Wife be compensated and made whole by receiving an unequal distribution of the marital assets in her favor.”

The actor then released a statement and confirmed the end of his relationship with the former model.

“I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues,” Stallone said through his publicist.

This comes after he sparked rumors that his marriage was on the rocks when he got the tattoo of Jennifer on his arm covered up with an image of his pet.

The former model also unfollowed him on Instagram and shared a photo with their three children, saying: “These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.”

Stallone’s publicist insisted at that time that there were no issues between the two and that it was a simple misunderstanding.

“Mr Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount,” a representative said.

Stallone and Jennifer got married in May 1997 at London’s Dorchester Hotel. They celebrated their 25th anniversary this year, with the actor describing his wife as an ‘incredible and selfless’ woman.

Jennifer also said: “Our marriage keeps getting better every year! I can’t wait to spent the rest of our lives together!”
