Maria Shriver has sparked concerns among her fans after looking unrecognizable during her afternoon stroll in Los Angeles.
The 66-year-old author, journalist, and Kennedy family member has hit the headlines and drawn attention to her name following her sunlit walk in LA earlier this week.
In photos obtained by Page Six, the former First Lady of California appeared in high spirits as she walked to her car after paying a visit to the construction site of her new home.
For the occasion, Shriver donned a light purple t-shirt and black leggings accompanied by a pair of grey sneakers.
While the niece of late President John F. Kennedy happily smiled for the camera, her fans were not impressed by the photos.
Concerned by the sudden change in her looks, some people wondered whether plastic procedures were responsible for the transformation. Others couldn’t even believe that the person in the photos really is her.
“People age gracefully. Lay off the plastic surgery. It always looks terrible,” someone wrote.
“Good Grief lady! Lay off the plastic surgery, you don’t even look human! Why on earth do women insist on doing this to themselves? The end result can be horrific and Maria is a prime example of this,” another said.
“I’ll never understand wealthy women who have access to the best plastic surgeons in the world and the result is this. Please consider bangs Maria!” the third suggested.
One displeased fan wrote: “What did Maria Shriver do to her face? Horrifying.”
Shriver also wasn’t spared harsh jokes with one viewer going as far as comparing the journalist to a fictional alien race known as Klingons.
“On the bright side she can play a Klingon in the next star trek movie they make,” she said.
