Meghan and Harry are enjoying a day off in Windsor after returning to the UK together for the first time since the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
So far, the Montecito couple already kicked off their engagements in Europe with attendance at the One Young World and a one-day trip to Dusseldorf in Germany.
Upon their return to Britain, the pair reportedly settled in their Windsor home – the Frogmore Cottage – where they are expected to stay until their tour in London.
Despite being within the walking distance of the Queen and just half a mile away from William and Kate’s new home – the Adelaide Cottage – Meghan and Harry have zero plans of meeting with Harry’s family.
Royal experts previously suggested that William has shunned Harry and that he will do his best to stay away from him until he’s had the chance to read his memoir.
Meghan’s friend, Omid Scobie, however, now suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were never shunned because they never even requested a meeting in the first place.
“There’s a laughable effort to suggest the [Sussexes] have been shunned. The true story is, they never reached out to the Cambridges,” one insider allegedly told Scobie.
He went on to claim that Prince Harry thinks William feels guilty for “turning his back when support was needed” on Harry’s side.
“People are desperate for steps to be made but behind the scenes there hasn’t been movement,” an insider told Scobie.
“What [Harry] is waiting for is accountability… Many lines were crossed by William. He was at the center of a number of painful moments, be it the actions of his own staff or turning his back when support was needed. It was a dark time and one that, so far, William has been unprepared to unpack.”
