In what is being described as the start of the final moments of wishing the Queen her farewell, sources have reported how her coffin has made its way to Edinburgh.
According to local media outlets, the coffin made its way into Edinburgh as it was closely watched by Andrew, Anne, Sophie, and Edward to rest in the Throne Room of the Holyroodhouse Palace.
Moreover, local media outlets spoke about how thousands of mourners were seen linking up the streets to wish a final goodbye to a woman they claim to be the most extraordinary leader of them all.
The Scottish capital was buzzing with mourners who wished to get a glimpse of her Majesty’s coffin, as it entered its stage of a final farewell.
The coffin will reportedly rest in this location overnight, right before it makes its way to the St. Giles Catherdral tomorrow where a vigil will reportedly be held in the evening hours.
The royal procession was by led by a hearse that comprised the Queen’s coffin made from oak as it crossed the Fourth recently at about 4 pm in the afternoon.
As the convoy was seen traveling down the road of Royal Mile, there was complete silence from the crowds as they showed this as a moment of silence to pay homage to the great leader of the UK. But just a few moments later, we heard a loud round of applause and cheer that suddenly broke out.
After that, the Queen’s cortege could be seen getting a guard of honor. Many males bowed their heads while the females could be seen curtsying in respect of the late Monarch.
The leader of the procession comprised a single motorbike police outrider that paved the way for the hearse and was accompanied by six other vehicles behind, one of which belonged to the Queen’s daughter and her husband.
