Little Princess Charlotte was seen giving her brother Prince George a lesson or two about royal protocol during the Queen’s funeral today.
Charlotte was making sure her older brother was in line with the rules of the royal protocol as she informed him about little details, like when he was supposed to bow in honor of her Majesty.
The two adorable siblings were pictured wearing formal black attire as they paid their final respects to their dear ‘Gan-Gan’ one last time during a grand funeral.
The youngster was very proper for a child her age, but there were times that she was seen breaking down in tears, finding it hard to accept that her great-grandmother was no more. But her mother, Princess Kate of Wales, was close by her side to comfort her during those difficult times.
Prince George, who is just 9 years old, is second in line to the throne, and that’s why the Palace’s advisors thought it would be a good idea for him to make an appearance as it would send out a symbolic message to the world about the monarchy.
Some critics did feel that the duo were too young to attend such a grand funeral event and that being forced to witness such mourning at a young age isn’t ideal for young kids like them. But others felt it was the right decision, and the late Queen would be very happy to see the kids as she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren so much.
At all times, the Princess of Wales gripped little Charlotte’s hands tightly at all time, making her realize that she was always by her side.
The little princess looked adorable in her black mourning coat with a velour collar and a matching wide-brimmed hat. On the other hand, little Prince George was seen donning a navy blue attire that came complete with a black tie.
