Cheeky Prince George reportedly warned his friends to watch out because his father will become king.
Prince George of Wales may only be nine years old but he is already well aware of his duty to the crown and knows that his father, and himself eventually, will become kings.
As royal author Katie Nicholl revealed in her new book, the eldest son of William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, already reasserted his claim to the throne in front of his classmates.
“They are raising their children, particularly Prince George, with an awareness of who he is and the role he will inherit, but they are keen not to weigh them down with a sense of duty,” the writer and biographer wrote.
“George understands he will one day be king and as a little boy sparred with friends at school, outdoing his peers with the killer line: ‘My dad will be king so you better watch out.’”
Nicholl in her book also noted that Kate Middleton looks up to Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex for their parenting techniques.
While 14-year-old James, Viscount Severn, and 18-year-old Lady Louise Windsor are children of working royals, they remain relatively invisible to the public eye and have grown up without HRH titles.
The author’s revelations come months after Kate and William left Buckingham Palace and moved to Windsor to be closer to the Queen and have better schooling options for their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Unfortunately, the Queen passed away just weeks after the family made the big move.
Prince George has since proven to be a rock for his siblings as he attended his Gan Gan’s funeral alongside Princess Charlotte while Prince Louis stayed at home.
As Kate previously revealed, Charlotte and Louis struggle with accepting their great-grandmother’s death, whereas Prince George understands better what had happened and why.
