In what is being described as a major blow to rapper Kanye West, Apple Music has officially removed the star’s ‘Essentials Playlist’ after cutting ties with the musician.
The news comes after the celeb chose to make some controversial anti-Semitic remarks and even confirmed how he would stand by it without issuing any form of an apology.
The streaming giant has reportedly become the latest business to distance itself from the rapper following his anti-semitic remarks.
So it’s pretty clear to plenty of people how Apple Music is slowly but surely moving in the same direction of Adidas, Vogue, and Balenciaga who have all come out in recent times to voice how they are no longer keen in having any business deals with the star.
The 45-year-old star has been seen going on a tirade in recent times where he called out death to the Jews and when asked to apologize and take his words back, he refused. Instead, he justified his behavior by stating that they have done him wrong.
In the same way, the celeb was seen going on a foul-mouthed rant against the current US President and even went as far as calling him a f*cking retard.
People are now calling out to Spotify to join the petition and stop showing support for the rapper’s music and ban him entirely.
But the CEO of the platform was seen speaking about how it had zero intentions of doing so.
Although he did not agree with the rapper’s stance on the matter, he found that his music didn’t show the same behavior. And when or if it does, he would be blocking the celeb’s playlist from reaching the platform.
