Adele couldn’t contain her emotions as she broke down in tears during the opening night of her ‘Weekends With Adele’ in Las Vegas.
The 34-year-old singer admitted she was ‘scared’ as she received a standing ovation from fans at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday.
Her boyfriend Rich Paul, 40, gave his support as he looked elegant in black attire while sitting in the audience along with the singer’s 10-year-old son, Angelo.
The Someone Like You hitmaker made the exciting evening intimate and memorable for fans who said that she walked through the audience and chatted with them for some time.
Addressing the audience, Adele said that the opening night was ‘perfect’ and revealed how ‘nervous’ she was.
She then thanked fans for attending the event after it was postponed.
“Thank you so much for coming back to me,” the singer told the audience. “It looks just like I imagined it would. It’s just perfect, thank you.”
Adele also joked: “I don’t get to go off stage for about 50 minutes so I’m going to have (a) s****y face of streaked makeup for the whole first part of the show!
“I’m so nervous and I’m so scared and I’m so happy.”
According to The Sun, the singer also said: “’I should be giving you a standing ovation, thank you so much for coming back to me. I really appreciate it. You look amazing and it looks just what I imagined it would look like, it’s perfect.
“I’m so scared and nervous, but I am so happy, I don’t know what I was thinking putting piano ballads at the top of the set, hopefully over time my nerves will disappear. I would also really like to thank Caesar’s because there have been a lot of rumors and they never once asked any questions, they’ve been amazing.”
“Only legends have been through these doors, I’m so honored,” Adele went on. “I have no idea what I’ve embarked on for five months, but I can’t wait. I will remember this night for the rest of my f**king life, better late than never.”
