23-year-old Maria Bilyk and 27-year-old Vitalij Melynik both tied the knot at a stunning ceremony in Buckingham Palace last month.

But what really stood out from their big day is how they chose to make the most of the moment, considering the tough and painful situation of war back home. And now that they are in the UK, they knew that they had to get married.

Thanks to an encounter with a wedding expert, the couple says they were blessed with the chance to get help with their function.

The duo’s ceremony was filled with so many empty chairs that featured images of those that mean the most to them.
