With the countdown to Christmas depicting it’s just days away, many can’t help but go strong on the preparations for the most wonderful time of year.
While some people love to make the most of the festive season with music, food, and decor- one bar owner is making sure he has laid down some pretty stringent rules for his customers to follow. And that means banning a famous holiday track by renowned singer Mariah Carey.
The celeb’s music is definitely one of the most popular albums to take center stage during the festive season. But the bar owner says he’s banning her award-winning and most popular holiday single, ‘All I want for Christmas is You!’
The bar which is located in Sydney says there will be plenty of fun to compensate for this removal but it’s just something they felt that they need to do. And as one can probably imagine, fans of the celeb are not happy one bit.
Simon Rose- Hopkins who happens to be the owner of the bar adds that he has an entire holiday playlist ready for the festive season but he is making sure his customers don’t get to hear Mariah Carey this time around.
Calling his bar a Mariah-free zone, people wondered what the reason for such a statement could possibly be. After all, what did Mariah do have a bar endorsed at a bar in Australia?
The bar called Jolene’s would be missing out on cliche features that give us that Christmas-time feeling. And for him, Mariah Carey is so cliche and last year that he hopes to switch things up a bit as change is necessary.
This year, the bar is hoping to cover classic country artists in their playlists. This means we’ll be hearing more of Lee Kernaghan and Dolly Parton with their famous holiday renditions of classic holiday music. What do you think?
