A male nurse at a government hospital in India accidentally ‘decapitated a baby while pulling too hard during a difficult birth.

The baby’s mother, Dikhsha Kanwar, is reportedly fighting for her life after the incident which happened on January 6.
It was reported that during the delivery, a male nurse pulled the baby so hard that the body broke into two parts.
After the incident, the nurse and another colleague brought the baby’s torso to the hospital’s mortuary in Ramgarh in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district.
The mother was then taken to Jawahar Hospital after staff said there had been a ‘complication’ during the difficult delivery.
Dr. Ravindra Sankhla, a gynecologist at Jawahar Hospital, told Hindustan Times that the staff at the health care center informed him that they had completed the delivery but the placenta was still in the mother’s womb.
He realized something was ‘horribly wrong’ when he tried to remove the placenta.
Doctors conducted an operation and discovered the fetus’ head in the womb. They informed the woman’s family members and relatives.
A case has been opened against the two male nurses but authorities are yet to arrest and charge them.
Dr. Nikhil Sharma, the man in charge of the health center in Ramgargh, said he was not present during the incident.
The principal medical officer at Jawahar government hospital, Dr. Usha Duggad, said it was a rare case.
Mr. Bhati alleged that the two male nurses were drunk. He added: “When questioned, the hospital staffers handed over the lower part of the fetus to us.
“No arrest has been made so far.”
