A woman went viral after social media users likened her looks to that of Jennifer Lopez and said she looks like her twin sister.
37-year-old Evelyn Rodriguez from the Bronx, New York City, is a Dominican Republic-born influencer who boasts over 170,000 followers on TikTok and more than 100,000 fans on Instagram.
The young lady, who works as a makeup guru, claims she is constantly being mistaken for Jennifer Lopez – especially if she uses makeup to make herself look like the Latina pop star.
Evelyn also says some people tell her she could easily pass for JLo’s sister while others believe she looks like a mix of JLo and Kate Hudson.
“I wasn’t surprised by any of the comments because I’ve been told that my whole life,” the social media star says.
“[Ninety-nine] per cent of people say we’re twins, but others say I’m a mixture of Kate Hudson and JLo. Whatever they say, I feel complimented every single time.”
Evelyn’s reaction comes after thousands of people likened her to Lopez on social media.
“You didn’t even need the make up! You look soooo much like her!” one user wrote.
“I literally thought I was looking at jlo when I first saw your picture,” another said.
One fan joked: “Girl what. Are you her long lost twin or something?”
As Evelyn explained, she started getting compared to JLo after arriving in the States when she was just nine years old.
Once her popularity in the States grew, the young lady embraced her looks and the compliments despite admitting she can’t see the resemblance.
“I’ve been stopped countless times when I’m just walking around the city. People always ask if I’ve heard it before and I’m always like… ‘Yes!’” she added.
“To be honest I really don’t see it, to me this is just my face. Sometimes for a second I see it, but then I soon go back to not seeing it. When I meet new people, I always get the same compliment and all my friends have always told me I look like her.”
