Chris Brown threw an angry fit after he lost a Grammy Award to an artist he has never heard of.
The 33-year-old singer let jealousy get the better of him when he took to Instagram and mocked Robert Glasper, who was pronounced as the winner.
The pianist received the honor for best R&B album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on February 5, But Brown, who was nominated for his 10th studio album Breezy (Deluxe), has proceeded to mock the musician online.
In a now-deleted post on Instagram, Brown wrote: “Y’all playing. Who da f*** is this?” he then added a series of laughing emojis.
The singer continued to mock the winner and said: “Who the f*** is Robert Glasper? I’ma keep kicking y’all a** respectfully.”
He then said that he might take up the harmonica to upgrade his skill set, hoping to win the award in the future.
“I gotta get my skills up…Ima start playing the harmonica,” he added.
In another Instagram story, he edited a picture of him playing the harmonica and said: “New Level Unlocked! Harmonica Breezy.”
Throughout his career, he has been nominated for 18 Grammys and won only 1, with his fourth studio album, F.A.M.E. winning the award for best R&B album at the 2012 event.
Glasper’s impressive work has seen him collaborate with Lupe Fiasco, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, and score the Emmy Award-winning documentary, The Apollo.
The 44-year-old pianist has released 11 of his own studio albums. As of Sunday, he has received 11 Grammy nominations and won 5.
Music fans took to social media and called out Brown for being bitter, with one writing: “Chris Brown being unaware of Robert Glasper tells me everything I need to know about why he’s still making regurgitated 2012 era R&B/Pop.”
Another tweeted: “Robet glasper is a talented guy and he deserves the win!! take that chris brown.”
