American actor and producer Tom Sizemore was rushed to the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The 61-year-old Saving Private Ryan star collapsed in his home on South Main Street in Los Angeles after suffering a brain aneurysm, his manager, Charles Lago, confirmed.
“He is in the hospital. His family is aware of the situation and are hoping for the best,” Lago told Fox News.
“It is too early to know about [a] recovery situation as he is in critical condition and under observation.”
Sizemore, who added 230 past and 33 upcoming credits to his name according to his IMDb profile, appeared in films like Pearl Harbor, Born on the Fourth of July, and Black Hawk Down. He also appeared in TV shows like Twin Peaks, Shooter, and Law & Order: SVU.
Back in 2021, the actor sat down for an interview with Fox News Digital in which he opened up about his battle with addiction and his attempt to get sober.
“I’ve been trying to get sober since 1991 … It became really big news much later than that, but I was trying to stop. I’ve had a problem for a long time. I had periods, long periods, of sobriety and I would end up relapsing,” he admitted.
“I still go to meetings and work my steps, but I had reached a place in my life where I knew I had to stop. I couldn’t be arrogant anymore.
“If I wanted to reach a nice and pleasant old age, I had to stop. And if I wanted to watch my kids grow up, I needed to reach a place where I knew it was over.”
Our thoughts remain with Tom and his family during this challenging time.
