Jimmy Kimmel has shared what he would do if anyone tries to slap him at the Oscars this year.
The prestigious awards last year descended into chaos after host Chris Rock made a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
At first, the actor seemed to find the joke hilarious but after seeing his wife’s reaction, he stormed to the stage and slapped Rock’s face.
For this year, host Jimmy Kimmel returns for his third appearance at the prestigious awards. He has revealed that he has thought of what he would do if someone tried slapping him on stage.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the talk show host said: “If somebody comes up on the stage and slaps me?
“Well, I size them up, and, if I’m bigger than they are, I beat the s*** out of them on television.
“And if it’s the Rock, I run.”
It seems like a reasonable thing to run away from the wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson.
Kimmel also said that talking about the infamous slap is getting ‘boring’ but he has to mention it as it is still on everyone’s mind.
“Well, whatever I say about it,” he said, “it’s going to have to be great, right?
“Because so much has been said and there’s so much focus on it. I obviously don’t want to make the whole monologue about that, but it would be ridiculous not to mention it.”
According to reports, a ‘crisis team’ has been called in for this years Oscars but it would seem that the host is not involved in it.
“I wish I knew. I’ve not been involved in that. I guess I’m the last thing they’re worried about,” Kimmel joked.
