The internet is going wild about some of the awkward moments during this year’s Oscars one year after the infamous slap that saw actor Will Smith banned from the Academy Awards for ten years.
Viewers are now calling Hugh Grant’s red-carpet interview the most awkward thing after the actor seemed to be disinterested in model Ashley Graham’s questions.
“What are you most excited to see?” Graham asked Grant. “Anyone to see win?”
Grant then replied: “No one in particular.”
The model then asked the 62-year-old actor what he was wearing and who had designed it, to which he simply responded: “My tailor.”
When the mother-of-three asked: “What does it feel like to be in Glass Onion such an amazing film? How fun is it to shoot something like that?”
Grant said: “Well, I’m barely in it. I’m in for about three seconds.”
After their awkward exchange, Graham ends the interview as it was clear that the actor was not interested.
Viewers took to the internet after watching the video, with one internet user writing: “Hugh Grant’s red carpet interview was so awkward. Lmao he did not want to be there.”
Another tweeted: “Ashley Graham interviewing Hugh Grant is the most awkward piece of television in 2023 and I’m living for it.”
A third said: “The Hugh Grant awkward interview is what happens when you bring non-journalists who don’t know what to do beyond reading index cards. I thought it was genius.”
Someone else commented: “That Hugh Grant interview was… the most awkward thing I’ve seen since the slap.”
