A skydiver from California is sharing her dreadful experience of her first solo drive.
The woman explained how she may never skydive again after getting tangled in powerlines during the incident.
The female parachute jumper says she’s always had a thrill of skydiving and other adventurous things. It keeps her adrenaline pumping. But little was she aware of the fact that such actions can sometimes have the worst consequences.
This time around, she was on her first-ever solo mission. And the enthusiasm she had during the start of the jump was intense as she had always jumped with another person near her. Despite being properly strapped and knowing her directions well, things did not go as planned.
The woman reportedly missed her intended landing zone in California’s Riverside county. This meant she jumped right into a massive high-tension power line. And she got tangled so badly. It was just horrifying for her to witness altogether.
She stood there and waited for help to arrive while fearing for her life. This was the worst possible scenario as the wires were live and that meant they had current flowing through them. Therefore, it could have electrocuted her and killed her.
The skydiving student is yet to be identified. But she says that it was so fearful to be in such a situation where she did not know if she’s come out alive.
“I hated that feeling. It was just so sad. I did not know what to make of it. I’m just so disappointed in myself. But after this terrifying scare, I don’t think I can gather the courage to jump again”- she concluded.
Rescue services including the paramedics and firefighters were seen rushing to the scene. They immediately shut the high-tension power cable down temporarily while they attempted to rescue her from the wired mess.
Thankfully, with the help of an aerial ladder, they could do it.
