It was a moment of panic and fear in Virginia this morning as emergency forces were seen scrambling after receiving reports about an active shooter on the run after loud sounds of gunshots filled the air.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how the police rushed to control an active shooting taking place inside a mall on Sunday.
Speaking to Fox News recently, the authorities have confirmed how the incident unfolded at the Dulles Town Center in Sterling, Virginia where the situation right now remains very very active as we speak.
Law enforcement is currently setting up a command center at the mall and the story continues to develop as we speak.
While one shooter was apprehended and taken into police custody, the authorities are still working to determine if other shooters were involved or not.
Meanwhile, images published online from one scene that was later shared on social media displayed a huge presence of officers, paramedics, and fire services on standby right outside Dick’s Sporting Goods.
But shortly afterward, a journalist by the name of John Crump tweeted that a second shooter was on the loose in the mall and the cops were following a trail of blood.
As far as casualties and injured are concerned, one suspected was deemed injured while no other reports were released otherwise of any others. But the incident has raised eyebrows after the school shooting that took place last week in Nashville where a trans shooter entered through an unsecured back door with their pistol and assault rifles.
They were able to target and kill six people which included three students and three adults.
