We are all living inside our four-walled houses to protect ourselves and others around us.
While it is for our own safety, it can get too exhausted sometimes.
At such times, the best thing to do is to read a book or to go and breathe out in the balcony and get as relaxed as you can. But this couple decided to take a 256 miles long drive only to take a breeze.
A couple had traveled all the way from Surrey to Cornwall’s seaside town of St Ives.
When the police authorities asked them what they were doing so far away from home, the couple said they had arrived to help students deal with the forthcoming exam distress.
But the locals then saw the couple at the pier, enjoying themselves even after strict lockdown rules.
The couple was instantly reported to the police from where the authority charged them a hefty penalty individually and ordered them to return to Surrey the very moment.
Yes, the couple had to take a 530 miles round trip just to spend an hour or even less by the sea.
A spokesperson talking on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police on the incident said “they had traveled 256 miles just for an hour by the sea which is unbelievable.
We had no option but to ask them to return home the very moment we found out they were lying.
The couple had entered the town stating they wish to work on the forthcoming examination distress but were clearly lying about the same.
They were charged with a fine and were sent back home instantly.
The authorities of their city have been informed to take a check on the couple after their arrival in their home town.”
