Mason’s family was devastated when he passed away at the age of 51 from a ruptured artery.

A few months after Mason’s death, his son noticed that one of the legs on the workbench was broken, which was something that his dad built for his mom. After reading his father’s message, he showed it to his mom. His mom and the rest of the family were in tears. Had he not taken the bench apart, no one would have been able to discover this beautiful message.

To preserve this message from his father, Mason’s son removed the two planks from the center and mounted them in a frame. He also decided to share this amazing story on Imgur, which inspired others to share their own stories in the face of loss.
