Ace Ventura 3 Could Be Coming To The Big Screens Soon

If you’re a fan of the 90s classic Ace Ventura, you’ll be thrilled to know that the movie could soon be getting another sequel and that there’s a chance that Jim Carrey is about to make his return as the notorious private detective.

The rumors have spread after reporter and insider Daniel Richtman, who typically knows what he’s talking about, suggested that the popular movie would be getting a sequel.

In his teasing tweet, Mr. Richtman wrote ‘Ace Ventura 3?!’ and attached a GIF featuring Jim Carrey as the Pet Detective saying ‘alrighty then.’

Just two days before the reporter’s tweet, Morgan Creek, the Ace Ventura production company, also came up with a tweet in which they attached googly eyes emoji next to an article suggesting that Ace Ventura 3 is in the works.

Soon enough, the fans of the popular comedy were over the moon.

“If there is a God, and He loves us, there will be an Ace Ventura 3 with Jim Carrey. I will be over the flippin’ moon. Not without Jim though,” someone wrote.

“I was waiting for this for two decades lol it’s about time for Jim to take on the role of the pet detective again,” another one suggested.

While the majority of users expressed their wish to see Jim Carrey return as Ace Ventura, however, you shouldn’t get your hopes up too soon.

Just last year, Tommy Davidson, also known as the Tiny Warrior in Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, claimed that Carrey doesn’t want to be a part of the third installment.

“[He] doesn’t want to do it now. But Jim is one of those kind of artists that, you know, he does what he feels, he does what he believes in,” Davidson said in an interview with US Weekly.

“I asked him about it. I told him, ‘Hey man, it’d be nice in Jamaica.’ He said, ‘No I’m not doing those now.’ And you know, that’s like going on the field and going, ‘Hey, Tom Brady, I think you should throw this over to…’ No!”

Nevertheless, let’s hope Jim changes his mind if the rumors come to be true. After all, who else could possibly play the private detective as well as he did?
