‘Leave It To Beaver’ Star Ken Osmond Died At The Age Of 76


Ken Osmond, an American actor best known for his role as Eddie Haskell in the Leave It To Beaver comedy series, died at the age of 76.

According to the TMZ report, the actor passed away at his Los Angeles home surrounded by his family members on Monday.

“He was an incredibly kind and wonderful father. He had his family gathered around him when he passed. He was loved and will be very missed,” The actor’s son, Eric, said in an interview with TMZ.

Mr. Osmond was a Hollywood actor best known for his role as troublemaker Eddie Haskell in the popular series Leave It To Beaver.

While the actor, who was 9 when he started acting in the show, was originally supposed to make a single appearance, his stay was extended throughout the series’ six seasons thanks to his popularity among the audience.

According to the reports, Osmond kicked off his career when he was just four as he appeared in a series of commercials.

As the actor once explained, his mother, who worked on the stage, sent him and his brother to dance, voice, and acting classes so that the pair could one day make it to Hollywood.

After finding his success with Leave It To Beaver, the actor appeared in several popular shows including Wagon Train, Petticoat Junction, Lassie, The Munsters, The Loretta Young Show, Fury, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, and Happy Days.

In 1970, the actor put his acting career on a halt and became a police officer at the Los Angeles police department.

In 1988, Osmond retired and took his free time as an opportunity to get back on the big screens.

Since then, the actor appeared in several movies and TV series including ‘Parker Lewis Can’t Lose,’ ‘Hi Honey, I’m Home,’ ‘Dead Women In Lingerie,’ and ‘CHARACTERz.’
