American actor Terry Crews has once again come under scrutiny after suggesting that “we must ensure” that Black Lives Matter movement doesn’t change into Black Lives Better ideology.
As The Expendables star suggested in his recent tweet, God’s children can be of any race and still be his brothers and sisters.
“If you are a child of God, you are my brother and sister. I have family of every race, creed and ideology,” the actor wrote. “We must ensure #blacklivesmatter doesn’t morph into #blacklivesbetter.”
Following his comment, Mr. Crews has been subjected to a backlash whereas some of his followers slammed him for voicing his opinion on the matter.
“You truly are worthless to us. White people can have you, especially since you love doing their work for them,” writer Kellee Nicole Terrell wrote in response to the actor’s tweet.
Previously, in early June, Crews had made another comment that upset his followers as he suggested that “defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy.”
“Equality is the truth. Like it or not, we are all in this together,” the actor wrote in his tweet.
After experiencing a severe backlash, Crews came up with a series of tweets in which he defended his stance and urged people not to fall victim to ‘groupthink’ but keep a mind of their own instead.
“Please know that everything I’ve said comes from a spirit of love and reconciliation, for the Black community first, then the world as a whole, in hopes to see a better future for Black people,” Crews wrote.
“I believe it is important we not suffer from groupthink, and we keep minds of our own, and be allowed to ask difficult questions to each other. I believe this dialogue is important as we get through this trauma together. I love you.”
