Levine’s silky smooth vocals, along with music from the rock band Train, stole the show and blew everyone away.
Most people know Levine as the sexy frontman of Maroon 5, but did you know he’s also an amazing guitarist? Pulling off the guitar solo in “Purple Rain” is not easy, even for a expert guitar player, yet Levine crushed it in the best possible way.He played it with such confidence and ease, and it’s incredible to watch him totally nail such a widely celebrated song.
When you watch the video, keep an eye out for the solo, which begins around 3:45.[rsnippet id=”5″ name=”DFP/34009881/Article_2″]
Adam Levine is just one of the many many artists Prince has inspired. After Prince passed away on April 21, 2016, Levine told People, ”[I’ll remember] just the great times that we had and just constantly being inspired by how he did things his way [and] never let anybody deter what he wanted to accomplish creatively and musically. As a musician, I can’t tell you how much that’s rubbed off on me.”
