Adoptive parents face unique struggles with their children.
As their kids age and grow, parents usually have to address that their child is adopted.
This can bring up a lot of questions for adopted children that other children don’t feel compelled to ask. Who are their biological parents? Do they have other siblings? Will they ever meet their biological families?
In spite of these challenges, adoptive parents are amazing and loving and appreciated just as any biological parent.

The video shows a son sharing a speech with his family in honor of his dad on Father’s Day. The son’s name is Lucky—a testament to how he feels having found himself with his family.
“First of all, let me say ‘Happy Father’s Day’ to the greatest dad in the whole wide world. I wouldn’t trade you for anything or anyone,” Lucky tells his father.
He talks about all of the kind this his father did for his as he was growing up.
“You been there for my first day of peewee football to me doing three sports in high school. You never missing a game, a track meet, or a wrestling tournament.”

You can feel the love between father and son while Lucky pours his heart out to his dad in front of their entire family.
Lucky goes on, “You also taught me how to love, but not just an ordinary type of love, how to love unconditionally.” The moment is touching and intimate.
Finally, Lucky reveals his Father’s Day gift. He’s decided to take his father’s last name.
