Even though there are so many great mother’s day gifts available out there, what this son gave to his mother is definitely one-of-a-kind.
In fact, it was so unique and incredible, that the news of his son went viral all over the country.
A woman named Ingeborg McIntosh is the one who received this special gift. She’s been living in Arizona, running a foster home for a long time.
Over 100 foster children have come and gone, each receiving the best love and care they deserve from Ingeborg.
Among these incredible children, Ingeborg felt something extra-special when she first met Jordan McIntosh, who was placed by his birthmother. Like she did with every children, Ingeborg took care of him. And, she kept falling in love with this little boy. So, Ingeborg tried to see if she could adopt him.
“They placed him in my arms and it was love at first sight,” said Ingeborg.
She also added, “he was a part of the family, no matter what.”

Unfortunately, Jordan’s birthmother specifically requested for Jordan to be adopted by African-American or biracial parents. And Ingeborg didn’t fit the criteria.
However, for four years, no one stepped up to adopt him. As a result, Ingeborg was finally able to adopt Jordan as her own son.
Now, 27 years later, Ingeborg and Jordan had been living happily together. However, Ingeborg recently became sick with an illness called the polycystic kidney disease.
Although she was ok for now, doctors told Ingeborg and Jordan that her conditions could deteriorate at any point, and that she would need a kidney transplant.
As soon as Jordan learned this news, he came up with a secret plan: to go and get tested to see if he was a match.
Luckily, he was.

Then, since mother’s day was coming, Jordan delivered this surprising news to his mother. When Ingeborg finally heard about Jordan’s secret plan, she was so moved.
“I can’t ask for a better son,” said Ingeborg.
Jordan was very humble, even though he was getting all the attention. “Hopefully I can do more for her as I get older, but for the moment, it’s the least thing I could do,” said Jordan.
He wanted to do everything he could do save his loving mother.
“Everything she’s done for me since I was a kid, I just wanted to give it back to her, and show her how much I appreciate her,” said Jordan.
Thankfully, the surgery went very well, and both Ingeborg and Jordan recovered and are healthy now.
What an amazing mother-and-son relationship!
