The arrival of a newborn in the family is a momentous event that brings joy not only to the child’s parents but to the extended family as well.
Aunts, uncles, and grandparents are all ready to fawn over the baby and jostle for who gets to hold the infant next.
But the parents are not bringing home a doll or mannequin so that means that growth is an inevitable part of the process.

Soon enough, that squirming and screaming little bundle will start exploring and add walking to its growing skill repertoire.
For all that learning how to walk is an important milestone in the child’s development, for the parents, it will be a mix of hilarity and trepidation.point 409 |
As a child suddenly discovers the freedom of being able to move around on their own, they will inevitably start to explore and parents need to keep a sharp eye out because this is the time that infants will try climbing out of the crib or even climbing onto the cabinet or kitchen counter.point 236 | 1
Never mind broken cups or furniture, if the parents aren’t careful, the child could seriously injure themselves.
On the other hand, a child’s tentative efforts at trying to walk can also produce a lot of hilarious moments, such as the case of a one-year-old who adorably fails as he slowly tumbles backward while learning how to walk.
Georgia Gill, 31, was filming her son Solomon as he was taking his first steps. That’s understandable because you want to preserve such moments for posterity if you’re fortunate enough to have the chance. Unfortunately for Solomon, the camera also caught his hilarious and “embarrassing” fail, something that will inconveniently pop up somewhere when he grows up, such as social media.
Georgia said: “Solomon had just learned how to pull himself up and to stand, so my husband and I bought him a baby walker to help him get moving.
“It was the first time we had let him have a go a standing unaided with the walker. He managed to take his first-ever couple of steps to our amazement.
“I thought he would manage a couple more, but he toppled down, which seemed to happen in slow motion.
“Our reaction was at first ‘yes he is taking his first steps and we are recording the milestone’. Then when he toppled in what looked like slow motion, it made us laugh.
“Solomon was perfectly fine, it didn’t even phase him in the slightest. When I sat him up straight away, he went to have another go at standing with the walker. He is so determined!”
