Although at first they might be just mimicking you with time it has been seen that they do understand the meaning of the things they have started to speak.

And imagine how great it would be to have a pet that could actually talk to you. Being around a pet makes humans so happy, let alone if they had the ability to talk.
If I had such a pet who could talk to me whenever we are around, believe me, I would never even want to have a human around me, it would be me and my pet against the world.
Have you ever heard that the best conversation always happens with yourself? And that one should always talk to itself before it goes out to the world.
It looks like this adorable parrot took the advice too seriously and got into a great conversation with himself in the mirror. Yes, he is too busy talking to his reflection that he does not care what people around him are busy doing.
The adorable ringneck parrot cannot get enough of himself. Look at the video where the owner of this parrot is holding her up in front of the mirror as the parrot is just not done. He is in a deep conversation with himself and it turns into a little argument too.
The people in the background are pretty engrossed in their conversation and so the parrot got busy with himself too. He is adorable and so is the way he is obsessing over his looks.
