A German scientific film sparked a great deal of controversy and received a severe backlash for showing the relationship between a 10-year-old robot and a grown adult man.
The robot resembled the man’s daughter, and the outrage has prompted plenty of walkouts during the screening.
The German screening goes by the name “Trouble with Being Born”, and the film is programmed as a part of the Berlinale 2020, which was the annual film festival that took place in Berlin, Germany.
In the movie, the child-like Android that is played by Lena Watson (10), seen caller her owner “Daddy”. Although the movie did not feature any type of graphic depiction of sex between the Android sex-bot and the man, the implications were pretty clear.
Reports provided information that the role of the Android was created for a 20-year-old actor, but after putting away some of the clear elements, the director of the movie, Sandra Wollner changed a decision and thought of casting a child instead.
Twitter users have labeled the film to be pedophile propaganda, but some of the outlets namely The Hollywood Reporter have praised and appreciated the film for its artistic merits. Also, the outlet called this particular German movie to be a hidden gem.
Sandra Wollner said that the film was viewed to be an anti-thesis of Pinocchio and Steven Spielberg’s AI.
Regarding the nude scenes of the 10-year old child, Wollner said that it was created with the help of CGI, and was granted permission from the young actress’s family as well.
Therefore, the current infancy on child sex-bot trade is increasing as more and more individuals are purchasing them from the overseas market.
The Republican Congressman of New York, Dan Donovan who is also a prosecutor have already said to make issues regarding child sex-bot before they make their way into the US.
