Al Pacino’s girlfriend has broken up with the 79-year-old American actor and admitted that she can no longer be in a relationship with The Godfather star due to their massive age gap.
As Meital Dohan, who is an Israeli actress, claimed, she was forced to end her ties with Pacino because “it’s hard to be with a man so old.”
While the 40-year-old maintained “it’s an honor” to be with The Irishman actor for two years, she said their relationship couldn’t last even with “all my love.”
The rumors of the celebrity couple’s break-up had been spreading for weeks after the 79-year-old was seen at the 92nd Academy Awards alone.
“It’s hard to be with a man so old, even Al Pacino. The age gap is difficult, yes. I tried to deny it, but now he is already an elderly man, to be honest. So even with all my love, it didn’t last,” Dohan said in an interview with The Times of Israel.
As the actress added, she feels grateful “to be a part of his legacy” and hopes they will remain good friends despite having a fight before their breakup.
“I had a fight with him and left him recently, but of course I really love and appreciate him, and I was glad to be there for him when he needed me, and to be a part of his legacy. It’s an honor for me. I’m glad this relationship happened between us, and hope we remain good friends,” she added.
