A rare albino penguin is the odd one out and may feel left out at a Polish zoo.
The albino penguin was born on December 14 at Gdansk zoo.
The albino penguin is prone to diseases because it lacks a black pigmentation and has been under veterinary care since it was born.
Adorable video footage shows the extremely rare albino penguin in its enclosure with its parents. The video will leave melt everyone’s heart.
The zoo’s director Michal Targowski said:
“As far as we know, there is no other such specimen alive (in captivity) in the world. The baby is active, in good health, eats well and, what’s very important, its parents are taking very good care of it,”
He also said that the albino penguin “would have become the very first to be attacked by predators.”
“We’re really doting on him so that nothing bad happens to him,”
The zoo’s director Michal Targowski also said that he and his team are ‘incredibly happy’ to have the rare albino penguin.
The rare penguin, which weighs 1.1 pounds and stands 11 inches tall, requires special care and is being kept with a small group of six adults, including its parents.
