Animals have been spotted roaming around empty cities and towns as people are advised to stay indoors to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In South Carolina, a man was lucky enough to see an alligator taking a stroll through an empty retail park.
Clifford Sosis was at Barefoot Landing in Myrtle Beach when he saw the reptile. He said behind the camera: “It appears nature is already beginning to reclaim this little bit of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
“That is a real-life gator hanging out in the middle of this otherwise busy – or usually busy – shopping centre. I guess he is planning on going to Christmas Mouse. Pretty crazy.”
This is not the first time animals were seen enjoying deserted streets.
Just last week, lambs were spotted having fun in a playground amid the coronavirus pandemic.
With residents under strict guidelines to stay indoors and only go out to buy food, medicine, or something essentials, a flock was found playing in a park and it seemed they had a great time.
The incident was filmed by Debbie Ellis and shared it on Facebook. She wrote: “On a lighter note the lambs are getting there once a day exercise in.”
The clip gained over 2,800 comments and has been shared more than 11,000 times.
One person commented: “They’re having more fun than me.”
Another wrote: “That’s cute af.”
A third added: “OMG they look so confused.”
In Llandudno, Wales, a gang of goats were found jumping on walls, roaming the streets, and munching on hedges.
Town councilor Carol Marubbi wrote: “They are curious, goats are, and I think they are wondering what’s going on like everybody else. There isn’t anyone else around so they probably decided they may as well take over.”
