Bilal Quintyne from Georgia is being hailed a hero after rescuing a marooned disabled woman whose wheelchair broke down in the middle of the road.
Father of two, Bilas is a resident of Smyrna and an amateur boxer who was out for a jog when he saw the woman trying to push her wheelchair with her hands.
Her wheelchair engine had died, and its wheels were partially distorted on the sidewalk and the busy street.
It was 90°, and the woman’s apartment complex was 30 minutes away. Without thinking for a second, Bilal lent a helping hand to that woman. Her battery just gave out, and she freaked out about how she is going to get home all by herself.
Bilal said that God had blessed him with an able body so that he could help those who can’t help themselves. He said that he was determined to get that woman back to her home.
However, it wasn’t easy, what made his expedition tough was the uphill road. Pushing the wheelchair was not easy, but he was determined. Bilal gets to know that the woman was out grocery shopping when her wheelchair malfunctioned. He offered to go to the grocery store with her, but she refused.
The woman was crying, and she was very grateful to get help from someone who she has never seen before. She said many people had come by, but no one was interested in helping her.
After dropping the woman safely to her home, Bilal went to the gym despite the strenuous task he had completed.
He said that he wants to spread positivity wherever he goes and wants to be a good example for his kids.
