We all know about Amazon, the company that has set a benchmark for creating some of the most advanced technological gadgets of its time.
However, it has shelved the decision to attend the trade show conducted by the Mobile World Congress which pulls up at least 1,00,000 visitors every year out of which 6,000 visitors comprise of people from China; a place which has recently witnessed the casualties of at least 908 people as a result of the infliction of Coronavirus.
When asked about the incident, Amazon’s higher authority retorted with a great deal of concern about the deadly infliction of the Coronavirus which has by far exceeded the number of 900 people and the number is likely to increase even further.
Hence, Amazon has come up to this conclusion that it will not attend the annual trade show conducted by the Mobile World Congress.
That apart, the cloud computing section of Amazon named Amazon Web Services (AWS) was supposed to host a whole-day conference session during the first half of the event which was scheduled to be conducted on 24th February 2020.
However, after this announcement made by Amazon, a couple of other technology companies were agreeing upon the same fact, and hence have decided to shelve the decision to attend the concerned trade show held by the Mobile World Congress as well.
Some of these eminent companies include a Swedish organization named Ericsson, an American computer processor firm named Nvidia as well as a South Korean company named LG which were supposed to form a significant part of the entire event.
GSMA, a global telecoms industry association that plays the instrument in the MWC trade show ascertained the refusal by the various technology companies to attend their trade show.
The association said that other companies are still in a dilemma to attend the event.
